relationships (Psalm 20:1-9) Celebrate Together

 (Psalm 20:1-9)   May the Lord answer you on a day of trouble!

     May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!
2   May He send you help from the sanctuary,
     And support you from Zion!
3   May He remember all your meal offerings
     And accept your burnt offering! Selah

4   May He grant you your heart’s desire
     And fulfill your whole plan!
5   We will sing for joy over your victory,
     And in the name of our God we will set up our banners.
     May the Lord fulfill all your desires.

6   Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
     He will answer him from His holy heaven
     With the saving strength of His right hand.
7   Some praise their chariots and some their horses,
     But we will praise the name of the Lord, our God.
8   They have bowed down and fallen,
     But we have risen and stood upright.
9   Save, Lord;
     May the King answer us on the day we call.

TODAY'S THOUGHTS AND MEDITATION:
As the world tries to push agendas of "acceptance", "compassion" and "equality", our society has only become more and more critical, contentious and divided!  Instead of fighting for what is "right" for ourselves, and discouraging and tearing down anyone who disagrees with us, as believers, we are to encourage and build one another up.  Instead of being jealous, angry or hateful, we are to be selfless, gentle, patient and loving.  And the only way we can do this effectively, is if we are doing it God's way, in HIs strength and wisdom!
One thing about having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, is that we will not only desire to know Him and His word better, we will desire that others know Him better!  As we talk with God, this should be one of our big prayer topics... to pray for others to become believers, and to pray for other believers to have great victory in Jesus.  And then, in celebration, we will desire to get together every week, to serve and encourage each other, and to corporately praise and worship the One who makes it all happen!!!
