relationships (Psalm 19:1-14) Sweetest Relationship

(Psalm 19:1-14)  The heavens tell of the glory of God;

     And their expanse declares the work of His hands.
2   Day to day pours forth speech,
     And night to night reveals knowledge.
3   There is no speech, nor are there words;
     Their voice is not heard.
4   Their line has gone out into all the earth,
     And their words to the end of the world.
     In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
5   Which is like a groom coming out of his chamber;
     It rejoices like a strong person to run his course.
6   Its rising is from one end of the heavens,
     And its circuit to the other end of them;
     And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

7   The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;
     The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8   The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
     The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9   The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
     The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much pure gold;
     Sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, Your servant is warned by them;
     In keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.
13 Also keep Your servant back from presumptuous sins;
     Let them not rule over me;
     Then I will be innocent,
     And I will be blameless of great wrongdoing.
14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
     Be acceptable in Your sight,
     Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.

TODAY'S THOUGHTS AND MEDITATION:
The Lord speaks to us through His creation and through His word, the Bible.  When we choose to open our eyes and see, we will not only realize that there is a God, but we can choose to have Him as our personal Lord and Savior.   To fear the Lord is to respect the Judge of our soul.  He will judge everyone in the end - by His standard.  And His standard for anyone to obtain on our own is impossible.  This is why we need Jesus.  And because God reaches out to us, we can accept His free gift of salvation, which is eternal.  It is then, that the Lord changes us from the inside-out, and we are clothed with His righteousness!
Verse 12 is important to the gospel message because when we ask Jesus to be Lord of our lives, and we confess our sins, He forgives ALL our sins:  past, present, future... those sins we know about, and even those sins that we are not aware of.  His grace gives us assurance that our salvation is guaranteed.
How sweet is that?  And if that wasn't enough, once God saves us, He does not abandon us!  He is right here with us, every step of the way.  We just need to choose to stay humbly attuned to Him, through attending church, prayer and studying His word, which is perfect, right, pure and sure.  God and His words are life-changing.  When we ask Him, He will work in us and through us.
It is not about do's and don't, but when we obey and follow His directions, we should know that we will be rewarded for this.  Some of the blessings will be right now, but there are also untold blessings waiting for us in heaven.  The guaranteed blessings for us right now is that we are restored, enlightened, gain wisdom, joy and peace.  Our personal relationship with the Lord is sweetest possible thing, and more valuable than anything this world could ever offer!
