(Mark 14:12-72)
12 On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples said to Him, “Where do You want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?” 13 And He sent two of His disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him; 14 and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ 15 And he himself will show you a large upstairs room furnished and ready; prepare for us there.” 16 The disciples left and came to the city, and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.TODAY'S TAKEAWAY:
I love how Jesus typically sent His disciples out in twos. Even though, as believers, we always have the Lord with us, He understands that we often need another person with us, as we carry out what He asks us to do. And then, whatever it is that He calls us to, as we are willing and obedient to do these things with His help and guidance, in His love, strength and wisdom, to His glory, He makes sure that His will is accomplished. And, He is the one who moves in the hearts of His children, so that we can find sweet unity and oneness with Him, as well as with each other. This is true teamwork, to the highest degree!
