relationships (Jeremiah 45:1-5) A Love and Source of Help That Will Never Tire

(Jeremiah 45:1-5)

This is the message which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at Jeremiah’s dictation, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying: 2 “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says to you, Baruch: 3 ‘You said, “Oh, woe to me! For the Lord has added grief to my pain; I am weary with my groaning and have found no rest.”’ 4 This is what you are to say to him: ‘This is what the Lord says: “Behold, what I have built I am going to tear down, and what I have planted I am going to uproot, that is, all the people of the land.” 5 But as for you, are you seeking great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I am going to bring disaster on all flesh,’ declares the Lord, ‘but I will give your life to you as plunder in all the places where you may go.’”

TODAY'S THOUGHTS AND MEDITATION:
Oh how we complain when things aren't going well for us.  Instead, we should continue living as we should and consider all our blessings.  The Lord is so good!  He is sovereign!  And He knows what He is doing!!!
In a recent Bible Study, which focuses on us experiencing the Lord - in a personal relationship with Him, it was pointed out that we tend to consider the wrong things and ask the wrong questions.  We tend to jump right into asking God to help us do the things that we want to do in our lives, without considering what God wants us to do in our lives.  So, for everything, we can immediately ask the Lord, "What is Your will in this?"  If our idea aligns with what God says in His word, and with what He is doing in His kingdom, then we can ask Him to "do it" for us, in His strength, wisdom and love, all to His glory.
It's amazing, when I pray in this way (when I REMEMBER to pray in this way), I find myself doing what I should - and ENJOYING it - even when it is something I dread and/or dislike!  God is so very faithful, understanding, patient and loving!  Even though we are so far from being perfect, He wants to pour into us, change us from the inside out, work for us, in us and through us... we just have to be willing.
Therefore, I have also found myself asking to God to help me be willing!  "I believe, help my unbelief!"  "I don't want to, but help me to desire what You desire!"  "You tell me to love everyone, love these people FOR me!!!"  Because God is so giving, and wants to be totally involved in my life, why would I take His presence for granted, or deny myself any of His help which He offers to us so generously?!!!  We could never tire out the Lord.  In fact, it gives Him great joy to guide us and help us!!!
