relationships (Psalm 70:1-5) Immediate Help

(Psalm 70:1-5) God, hurry to save me;

     Lord, hurry to help me!
2   May those who seek my life
     Be put to shame and humiliated;
     May those who delight in my harm
     Be turned back and dishonored.
3   May those who say, “Aha, aha!” be turned back
     Because of their shame.

4   May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
     And may those who love Your salvation say continually,
     “May God be exalted!”
5   But I am afflicted and needy;
     Hurry to me, God!
     You are my help and my savior;
     Lord, do not delay.

TODAY'S THOUGHTS AND MEDITATION:
Because we are all "needy" and afflicted, we should desire that God quickly help!  In other words, we should not delay in asking for His help.  Any time, and all of the time, we should immediately remember to ask for God's help.  God may not answer this prayer the way we want, or in the way we expect, and He may even decide that an issue remain with us;  but God will still help us as soon as we ask!!!
Immediately, God will work on our hearts, so that no matter what we are going through, we can experience joy and thankfulness, as well as His strength and confidence.  Of course, "this will work" when we are sincerely striving in God's will in obedience.  This includes asking for things with right motives.  And we cannot expect God to work on our hearts and situations - if and when - we are defiantly being disobedient.  I mean, in that case, He might answer our prayers a certain way in order to teach us a poignant lesson!!!
It certainly helps asking God to help us with our own attitudes and desires!  So, while we might not always be happy with laughter, and while other relationships might struggle and constantly require God's wisdom and discernment, it is in this most excellent relationship with our Lord and Savior that we can rest securely and trust that He will work things out for good.
When we seek, we will find.  When we ask, we will get.  This is exactly why Jesus came in flesh to suffer and die for our sins so that we can run to Him and freely embrace His love and care!  It is in all of this and more, that we exalt the Lord!
